How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Learning Support Assistant
    Location: Solihull B26
    Contract: Long-term
    Day Rate: £480-£520

    The Opportunity:
    Long Term Futures are seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Solihull from September 2026.

    This rewarding role will be based within the school's dedicated SEN Hub, supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2 with a range of additional needs, with a particular focus on Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Working closely with the SENCO, class teachers, and pastoral team, you will provide 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils regulate their emotions, develop positive behaviours, and successfully access the curriculum.

    The school has a strong reputation for inclusion and provides a nurturing environment where personalised learning, emotional wellbeing, and positive relationships are at the heart of everything they do.

    Your Key Responsibilities:
    * Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support within the school's dedicated SEN Hub
    * Support pupils across KS1 and KS2 with SEMH and additional learning needs
    * Deliver targeted interventions linked to EHCP outcomes and personalised learning plans
    * Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and social development
    * Help pupils successfully access the curriculum and reintegrate into mainstream lessons where appropriate
    * Work collaboratively with the SENCO, class teachers, pastoral staff, and external professionals
    * Promote confidence, independence, and positive relationships throughout the school day
    * Create a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment that enables every pupil to succeed

    Requirements:
    * Previous experience supporting children with SEN, particularly SEMH, within a primary or specialist setting
    * Experience delivering 1:1 and small-group interventions
    * Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
    * Understanding of EHCPs and personalised learning strategies
    * Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach to supporting children with additional needs
    * Excellent communication and teamwork skills
    * Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
