How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Business & Data Analyst - Graduate Opportunity

    Location: Glasgow

    Salary : £25,000

Are you a recent graduate who enjoys working with data, researching information and finding ways to turn it into something useful?
Do you have a naturally curious mindset and an interest in how businesses identify opportunities, understand their customers and make better commercial decisions?
This could be an excellent opportunity to start your career in a role that combines data analysis, market research, business development and technology.

    The Opportunity
We are looking for a graduate to join a global professional services environment in a development-focused Business & Data Analyst role.
You don't need previous experience within the sector. What matters is that you are analytical, curious, organised and keen to learn.
You will work alongside experienced commercial and business development professionals, gaining exposure to how data and research are used to identify opportunities, understand markets and support business growth.
You will receive structured training, one-to-one buddying and practical coaching, giving you the opportunity to develop a broad range of commercially valuable skills.

    The Role

As a Business & Data Analyst, you will:

Analyse data to identify trends, relationships and potential commercial opportunities
Carry out research into organisations, markets and potential clients
Use CRM data and other sources to identify patterns and develop insight
Work with large datasets using Excel, Power BI and other analytical tools
Support the creation and management of target lists and commercial research
Prepare research, briefings and insight for senior stakeholders
Help maintain and improve the quality of CRM and commercial data
Support marketing and business development campaigns
Use AI and digital tools to improve research, analysis and productivity
Work with colleagues across different teams and levels of seniority
Contribute to projects that help identify and develop new business opportunitiesWhat We're Looking For

This role would suit a recent graduate who is looking to build a career in data, commercial analysis, business development or professional services.

    You will ideally have:

A degree or relevant academic background
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    Excellent attention to detail
An interest in working with data and identifying trends
Strong research skills and a naturally curious approach
Good written and verbal communication skills
Confidence using Microsoft applications, particularly Excel
An interest in AI and digital tools
The ability to organise your workload and manage competing priorities
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
The confidence to work independently while also collaborating with a wider teamFull training and support will be provided.
    Why This Role?

This is more than an entry-level data position.

You will develop practical experience across data analysis, CRM management, market research, commercial insight, campaign support and stakeholder engagement. These are transferable skills that can open doors across the wider professional services and commercial sectors.

There is also scope to develop your career further into areas such as client development and campaign management as your experience grows.

    What's On Offer

    12-month fixed-term graduate opportunity
Structured training, coaching and one-to-one buddying
    Career development and study support
25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
