How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Are you an experienced MEP Project Manager, M&E Project Manager, Mechanical Project Manager or Electrical Project Manager looking to take ownership of major building services packages?

This is an opportunity to manage the delivery of high-value MEP packages across large-scale industrial, commercial and infrastructure projects, taking responsibility from design coordination and procurement through installation, commissioning and handover.

You'll join an established engineering and MEP contractor where experienced project professionals are trusted to make decisions, solve problems and take ownership of delivery.

    The Role

As MEP Project Manager, you'll take responsibility for the successful delivery of complex mechanical and electrical packages, working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and construction teams.

You'll manage the programme, technical delivery, procurement, commercial performance and site resources while ensuring projects are delivered safely, to specification and to the required quality standards.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    * Managing MEP packages from design coordination through installation, commissioning and handover

    * Building strong working relationships with clients and ensuring works are delivered in a professional and controlled manner

    * Managing the procurement and ordering of key materials

    * Appointing and managing subcontractors and the wider supply chain

    * Ensuring works comply with project specifications, drawings and technical requirements

    * Attending client and main contractor design, technical and progress meetings

    * Managing in-house and subcontract labour resources

    * Monitoring programme, quality, safety and overall project performance

    * Ensuring works comply with all relevant legal, statutory and H&S requirements

    * Managing contract changes and accurately costing variations

    * Preparing and issuing interim valuation claims in line with works completed

    * Monitoring project costs and maintaining strong commercial control

    * Preparing and presenting monthly contract reports and project KPIs

    * Identifying project risks and resolving technical or delivery issues

    * Supporting successful testing, commissioning and project handover

    About You

You may currently be working as an:

    MEP Manager

    M&E Project Manager

    Electrical Project Manager

    Building Services Manager

Senior Mechanical or Electrical Project Manager

    You'll ideally have:

    * Proven experience delivering large-value MEP packages

    * A strong mechanical, electrical or wider building services background

    * Experience within a main contractor, Tier 1 contractor or specialist MEP contractor

    * Exposure to industrial, commercial, infrastructure or framework projects

    * Experience managing projects through design, procurement, installation and commissioning

    * Strong subcontractor and supply-chain management experience

    * Good understanding of construction programmes and project delivery

    * Commercial awareness, including experience with variations, valuations and cost control

    * Strong client and stakeholder management skills

    * The ability to lead project teams and solve technical and delivery challenges

You don't necessarily need to have spent your entire career managing both mechanical and electrical services. Experienced Mechanical or Electrical Project Managers who have progressed into managing wider MEP packages are encouraged to apply.

    The Opportunity

This isn't a role where you'll simply monitor progress and report on what's happening.

You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of major MEP packages, influence how projects are delivered and work directly with clients, designers, subcontractors and construction teams.

You'll be joining a business delivering technically challenging engineering projects where quality, safety, programme certainty and technical excellence genuinely matter.

    What's On Offer

    Competitive salary based on experience

    Permanent position

Major industrial, commercial and infrastructure projects

    High-value MEP packages

    Career progression opportunities

    Exposure to technically complex projects

Opportunity to take genuine ownership of project delivery

If you're an experienced MEP Project Manager, Mechanical Project Manager, Electrical Project Manager or Building Services Manager looking for your next opportunity in Scotland, we'd like to hear from you.
