How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Salary up to £90,000+ | Company Bonus | Generous Pension | Multi-Million Pound Programme

    A permanent Programme Manager position has arisen within an established engineering and manufacturing business following the award of a major, multi-million-pound customer programme.

    Reporting directly to Director level, you'll take ownership of the programme and coordinate activity across Engineering, Design, Supply Chain, Production and Quality. You'll manage several priorities, influence teams across the business and ensure the programme remains on track against demanding delivery dates.

    Programme Manager responsibilities include -

    Develop and manage the programme plan across design, validation, production readiness and delivery.
    Coordinate Engineering, Supply Chain, Production and Quality activities to ensure key milestones are achieved.
    Monitor material availability, supplier lead times and production capacity, identifying and addressing risks to delivery.
    Act as a key customer contact, providing progress updates and managing stakeholder expectations.
    Maintain programme budgets, actions, risks, KPIs and accurate RAG reporting.
    Coordinate external partners, subcontractors, and customer sites throughout the programme lifecycle.Programme Manager desirable skills and experience -

    Previous Programme Manager or Senior Project Manager experience within engineering and manufacturing.
    Experience coordinating Engineering, Supply Chain, Production and Quality activities.
    Strong understanding of material availability, supplier lead times and manufacturing capacity.
    Confident managing several projects, customers, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
    Strong commercial awareness, customer management and senior stakeholder communication skills.
    Experience delivering complex programmes within a stage-gate or similarly governed environment.Programme Manager position benefits include -
