How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Data Business Analyst (x2)

    Glasgow | 6-Month Contract

    We are currently seeking 2 experienced Data Business Analysts to join a major transformation programme within a highly regulated environment. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in shaping data strategy, operating models and governance frameworks while working alongside business, data and technology stakeholders.

    Duration: Initial 6 months
    Working Pattern: Hybrid
    Onsite Requirement: 2-3 days per week in GlasgowThe Role

    As a Data Business Analyst, you will support a number of critical workstreams across Operating Model Design, Data Quality, Data Dictionary and Data Taxonomy initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities

    Lead requirements elicitation, analysis and traceability activities across multiple workstreams.
    Produce and maintain business requirements documentation, process maps and data mapping artefacts.
    Develop user journeys, business process models and traceability matrices.
    Facilitate workshops to gather requirements and validate proposed solutions.
    Work collaboratively with business, data and technology teams to resolve issues and assess change impacts.
    Support governance, testing, business readiness and documentation activities throughout the project lifecycle.
    Ensure alignment between programme scope, business requirements and delivery outcomes.
    Contribute to operating model development and transition into BAU environments.Essential Skills & Experience

    Extensive Business Analysis experience within complex change or transformation programmes.
    Strong requirements gathering, management and scope decomposition capabilities.
    Proven experience delivering end-to-end requirements traceability.
    Experience working within both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
    Advanced stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
    Strong user story development and backlog refinement experience.
    Experience producing user journey maps and supporting service design activities.
    Knowledge of operating model design and business transition processes.
    Strong data analysis, data mapping and impact assessment experience.
    Experience delivering controls, governance and regulatory change initiatives.
    Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence and Visio.Desirable Experience

    Data Management and Data Governance expertise.
    Understanding of:
    Data Dictionaries
    Taxonomies
    Metadata Management
    Data Lineage
    Data Quality Frameworks
    Ability to operate independently across both business and technology functions.
    Experience working within large-scale transformation or regulatory programmes
