How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Smile Education are currently working with a welcoming secondary school in the Cannock area who are looking to appoint a dedicated Maths Teacher.

    The school also offers a range of enrichment opportunities, educational visits, extra-curricular activities and careers experiences, providing students with a varied and engaging education.
    Duties and Responsibilities
    Plan, prepare and mark engaging Maths lessons in line with school expectations.
    Deliver high-quality Maths teaching across the secondary age range.
    Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
    Adapt teaching to meet the needs of SEND pupils and those requiring additional support.
    Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Maths department.
    Teach Maths up to GCSE level, with A Level teaching available where required.The School Are Looking For
    An ECT or fully qualified Maths Teacher.
    Previous experience teaching Maths within a UK secondary school.
    Strong subject knowledge and a secure understanding of the Maths curriculum.
    Experience teaching Maths at GCSE level and familiarity with examination requirements.
    A confident, professional and engaging approach to teaching.
    Strong classroom management and communication skills.
    A reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to supporting student progress.
