How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Product Coordinator - Houghton Regis

    Think Specialist Recruitment are delighted to be working with a well-established valued client. We have been working closely with this client for the last ten years and have helped to recruit a number of strong hires within their business during this time. Due to exciting growth within the business via a new product line, our client are now looking to recruit for an Product Coordinator to take ownership of their new range and make this role their own.

    Our client is an extremely established and thriving business based in Houghton Regis. They design and produce their own range or products alongside officially licensed merchandise. They are in the process of growing a new product range and in this role the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the product plan and execution for their allocated ranges including licensed, own-brand or both. You will oversee design, sourcing, marketing and e-commerce as you see products through from start to finish.

    This position is a fully office based role in our clients Houghton Regis office with a salary on offer upto £35k. The successful candidate will be someone with experience working in a similar creative industry. More importantly you will have an expert attention to detail, be well organised, and have a passion for our clients industry and products with the ambitious to help bring these products to life.

    Duties:

    Own the production process, overseeing everything from initial ideal through to execution and eventually on-shelf and online.
    Act as point of contact for licensors ensuring that you strive to meet their brand and approval requirements
    Liaise with the design team during the initial product development phase.
    Have direct involvement with factories on all queries including specifications, technical drawings and more.
    Prepare concepts and mock-ups for internal sign-off, ensuring licensor approval is gained.
    Analyse sales data and market trends to identify growth.
    Managing product lifecycle including reviews, new introductions and exits
    Work closely with the e-commerce team on merchandising duties
    Provide support to the marketing team with all launch plans and promotional activity

    Candidate Requirements:

    Well organised individual who is able to work across multiple tasks at any given point.
    Able to demonstrate a strong attention to detail, with a keen eye for details and information to ensure mistakes are not made and errors avoid at all times.
    Prior product development experience would be desired. You will ideally have at least 1-2 years experience working on taking products from concept through to production
    Analytical mindset. You will be someone who is able to identify performance numbers and come to a solid conclusion.
    An interest in sports equipment, toys or art products.
