How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Follow strict quality, health and safety, and operating procedures.
Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure work areas remain clean and organised.
Work closely with experienced technicians and laboratory staff as part of an established team.

Previous materials testing experience would be advantageous but is not essential as comprehensive training will be provided.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have:

    Strong attention to detail.
    Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    A practical hands-on approach.
Basic IT skills and confidence using computer systems.
The ability to follow procedures and work accurately.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

    Desirable Skills & Experience

Experience within construction, manufacturing, engineering, laboratory or technical environments.
A scientific, engineering or technical qualification.
    CSCS Card.
    Full UK Driving Licence.

    What's On Offer?

Temp-to-perm opportunity with long-term career prospects.
    Full training and ongoing development.
Exposure to both laboratory and site-based testing environments.
Monday to Friday working pattern with no regular weekend work.
Opportunity to join a supportive and experienced team within a growing industry.

    Additional Information

Applicants should be aware that Drug and Alcohol testing may be carried out in accordance with company and client site requirements. Successful candidates must be willing to comply with all health, safety and quality standards.

If you're looking to start or develop a career within construction materials testing and want to join a well-established organisation offering training and progression opportunities, we'd like to hear from you.
