How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The main focus of the role will be delivering after-school sports clubs, with coaches travelling to different schools to provide fun, engaging and well-organised sessions for primary-aged children.

Additional hours may also be available through wraparound care, holiday camps and some PE delivery, making this a great opportunity for coaches looking to build a regular programme of work across the school week.

    Pay

£20–£25 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications and level of responsibility.

    The Role

    You will be responsible for:

Encouraging participation, teamwork and positive behaviour

    *

Ensuring sessions are well organised and appropriately challenging

    *

Communicating professionally with school staff, parents and colleagues

    *

Following safeguarding, health and safety and company procedures

Coaches will need to be prepared to travel between schools and venues depending on the weekly timetable.

    Who We Are Looking For

We are particularly interested in coaches who have:

    *

    Previous experience coaching primary-school-aged children

    *

Confidence managing groups of children independently

    *

A positive and enthusiastic coaching style

    *

    Good communication and organisational skills

    *

    Reliability and professionalism

    *

The ability to adapt sessions for different ages and abilities

    *

A genuine interest in helping children enjoy sport and physical activity

    *

The ability and willingness to travel to different schools

Experience delivering sports clubs within schools is highly desirable.

A sports coaching qualification, teaching qualification or other relevant experience would be beneficial.

    Additional Hours

While the main role is delivering school sports and after-school clubs, additional hours may be available through:

    *

    Breakfast and after-school wraparound care

    *

    School holiday camps

    *

    PE and curriculum sports delivery

    *

    Other children's sports programmes

This can provide opportunities for coaches looking for more regular hours alongside their core school coaching timetable.

    Hours

    Part-time, term-time

Most after-school sessions take place between approximately 3:00pm and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Exact hours will depend on the schools and clubs allocated.

Additional daytime, morning and school holiday work may also be available.

    Why Join Us?

    *

Competitive coaching rate of £20–£25 per hour

    *
