You will support the smooth running of the warehouse, ensuring stock is received, stored, picked, packed and dispatched safely, accurately and on time.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.
Key responsibilities
Receiving stock deliveries and checking quantities, quality and contents
Accurately recording stock information manually and on the computer system
Safely storing incoming stock within the warehouse
Picking and cutting stock to fulfil customer orders
Completing quality checks before products are dispatched
Packing and dispatching orders with the correct documentation
Using sack trucks and two-person lifting procedures where appropriate
Following all warehouse health and safety policies
Supporting other areas of the warehouse and wider business when required About you
Previous experience within a warehouse environment would be beneficial
Comfortable undertaking regular manual handling, including lifting items weighing up to 25kg
Numerate, literate and confident using Microsoft Office applications
Able to follow instructions and work accurately to deadlines
Excellent attention to detail and a thorough approach
Hardworking, dependable and flexible
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Good understanding of health and safety within a warehouse environment
Positive communication and interpersonal skills Experience using Oracle or courier systems such as DHL, UPS or TNT would be advantageous. A valid Counterbalance or Reach Truck licence or an NVQ Level 2/3 in Warehousing and Storage would also be desirable but is not essential.
