We're recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to support a highly automated operation, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdowns and continuous improvement activities across a wide range of automated equipment.
The Role
Reporting into the Engineering Team, you'll be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability and minimising downtime across a busy automated operation.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Planned preventative maintenance (PPMs)
* Reactive electrical and mechanical fault finding
* Diagnosing faults using electrical drawings and test equipment
* Working on motors, drives, sensors and control systems
* PLC fault finding and basic interrogation
* Supporting continuous improvement projects
* Maintaining accurate maintenance records
* Working safely in line with company procedures and engineering standards
Following an initial training period on days (approximately 4-8 weeks), you'll move onto a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
About You
We're keen to speak with electrically or mechanically biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers from manufacturing, FMCG, logistics, automation, warehousing or industrial environments.
You'll ideally have experience with:
* Electrical and mechanical fault finding
* Planned and reactive maintenance
* Conveyors and automated machinery
* Three-phase motors and drives
* Inverters and sensors
* Pneumatics and hydraulics
* PLC fault finding (Siemens, Allen Bradley or similar advantageous)
* Reading electrical and mechanical drawings
Qualifications
Ideally you'll hold one of the following:
* NVQ Level 3 Engineering Maintenance
* City & Guilds
* Time-served Apprenticeship
* HNC/HND (desirable)
Equivalent electrical or mechanical engineering qualifications will also be considered.
