Austin Dean Recruitment is looking for compassionate and experienced Support Workers to support adults with learning disabilities across day centres and activity hubs in East London.

Your Responsibilities
As a Support Worker, you will:
* Support adults with learning disabilities in structured day-service environments
* Assist individuals with daily activities and community-based programmes
* Encourage participation, social interaction and the development of life skills
* Promote independence, choice, dignity and wellbeing
* Provide person-centred support based on each individual’s needs
* Follow care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures
* Work collaboratively with families, colleagues and other professionals
* Maintain accurate records and report any concerns appropriately
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
* At least 24 months of UK experience within health and social care
* NVQ Level 2 or above in Health and Social Care
* An Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service
* Up-to-date mandatory training certificates
* Current Epilepsy Awareness training
* Current Safeguarding Adults and Safeguarding Children training
* The legal right to work in the UK
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* A caring, reliable and proactive approach
