How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Structural Design Technician (Revit/BIM)

Our client is a well-established engineering and design organisation delivering technically complex projects across a range of sectors. They are looking for a Structural Design Technician with strong Revit/BIM experience to join their team and support the delivery of high-quality structural design and digital modelling outputs.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded professional who enjoys working within a collaborative design environment and has a strong understanding of BIM workflows, structural modelling and technical documentation.

    Key Responsibilities

    In this role, you will:

Work within the structural discipline under the guidance and supervision of experienced engineers, architects and other technical professionals.
Support the development and coordination of structural BIM models in line with project requirements and established digital delivery standards.
Assist with the creation and management of structural models, systems, components and associated digital content.
Accurately model structural elements within the appropriate spatial and technical constraints of the BIM environment using current 3D design software.
Produce detailed drawings, layouts, diagrams and other technical documentation using Revit and relevant design software.
Maintain and update structural models, ensuring project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, scope boundaries, match-lines, views and sheets are correctly managed.
Generate discipline-specific drawings and documentation with clear, accurate annotations and detailing.
Work closely with engineers and other members of the project team to ensure models and drawing outputs are accurate, coordinated and delivered to the required standards.
Contribute to maintaining consistent BIM standards and high-quality digital project deliverables.

    About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Previous experience in a structural design or structural engineering environment.
Strong working knowledge of Revit and BIM methodologies.
Experience producing structural models, drawings and technical documentation.
Good attention to detail and an understanding of drawing and modelling standards.
The ability to work effectively under the direction of engineers and senior technical staff.
    Strong communication and organisational skills.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering accurate work within project deadlines.Eden Brown is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy
