How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Autism Support Worker - Maidenhead

A fantastic opportunity has become available for an Autism Support Worker to join a welcoming specialist school in Maidenhead.

The school supports children and young people aged 4 to 16 who have a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, learning needs and associated behavioural or emotional needs. As an Autism Support Worker, you will work closely with students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, delivering targeted interventions designed around their individual learning and developmental needs.

    The Role

This is a rewarding and varied role where no two days are the same. You will become an important part of the students' support network, helping them to engage with learning, develop their confidence and make progress towards their individual goals.

    Your responsibilities may include:

Providing 1:1 and small-group support to students with autism and special educational needs.
Delivering targeted learning and developmental interventions under the guidance of teaching and specialist staff.
Supporting students to develop their communication, social, emotional and learning skills.
Creating a calm, supportive and engaging learning environment.
Supporting students who may find the classroom environment challenging, helping them to access learning in a way that works for them. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in education, psychology, therapy, SEND or child development. Graduates and candidates with relevant transferable experience will also be considered.

    The successful candidate will be:

Passionate about supporting children and young people with autism and SEND.
    Patient, empathetic, nurturing and resilient.
Creative and enthusiastic about finding ways to engage students in learning.
Comfortable working both independently with individual students and as part of a wider team.
