How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    IP Network Design Engineer – Cisco ACI & Route/Switch

    Day Rate: £475-£500 per day | Outside IR35
    Location: UK Home-Based
    Duration: 3 Months  (12 month project)
    Travel: Europe – approximately 2 days per month (fully expensed)

    We are seeking an experienced IP Network Engineer / Designer to support the design and delivery of enterprise-scale network infrastructure within a complex international environment.

    The successful candidate will have strong hands-on design experience across Cisco ACI, routing and switching, and will be comfortable working across large-scale, highly resilient network environments.

    Key Responsibilities

    Design enterprise IP network infrastructure across complex environments.
    Design and develop Cisco ACI solutions, including fabric architecture, tenants, VRFs, bridge domains and endpoint connectivity.
    Design and support Cisco routing and switching solutions.
    Develop network connectivity, routing and segmentation designs.
    Produce High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs).
    Define network architecture, connectivity and traffic flows.
    Work closely with network architects, security teams, infrastructure engineers and other technical stakeholders.
    Participate in technical design reviews and provide recommendations on network architecture.
    Ensure solutions meet requirements for resilience, scalability, performance and security.
    Produce and maintain accurate technical documentation.
    Essential Skills & Experience

    Strong experience in enterprise IP network design and engineering.
    Extensive experience with Cisco ACI and Fabric.
    Strong Cisco routing and switching experience.
    Excellent understanding of TCP/IP and networking fundamentals.
    Experience with routing protocols and enterprise network architectures.
    Experience designing highly available and resilient network solutions.
    Proven ability to produce detailed technical designs and documentation.
    Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
    Ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid international environment.
    Contract Details

    £475 - £500 per day
    Outside IR35
    UK home-based
    Approximately 2 days per month travel to Europe
    European travel expenses fully covered
