How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrical Maintenance Engineer – St Paul’s, London

    Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum
    Monday – Friday | Split Day Shifts | Call-Out Rota

    We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established team based in St Paul’s, Central London.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer looking for a stable Monday–Friday position, with excellent benefits, ongoing training and genuine opportunities for career progression.

    The Role

    As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the site, ensuring all building services and electrical systems remain safe, compliant and fully operational.

    You’ll work Monday to Friday on a split-day shift pattern, rotating between:

    * 7:00am – 4:00pm

    * 8:00am – 5:00pm

    * 9:00am – 6:00pm

    There is also a call-out rota of approximately 1 week in every 4–5 weeks, with £100 standby payment.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Carry out planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance.

    * Diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently.

    * Complete inspections, testing and remedial works.

    * Maintain electrical and building services equipment.

    * Respond to breakdowns and emergency maintenance requirements.

    * Ensure all work is completed in line with relevant health & safety and compliance standards.

    * Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

    * Liaise with colleagues, contractors and site representatives.

    * Support the wider engineering and facilities team when required.

    About You

    We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer with a strong background in commercial/building services environments.

    You should have:

    * A recognised Electrical qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds).

    * Relevant experience within commercial building maintenance or facilities management.

    * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

    * A professional approach and good communication skills.

    * The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    * A willingness to participate in the call-out rota.
