How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Build and maintain strong client relationships; act as a trusted technical point of contact.

Prepare and contribute to technical proposals, tender responses and commercial bids.

Develop and deliver presentations, demonstrations and value propositions to clients and stakeholders.

Collaborate with engineering and project teams to develop feasible, cost‑effective solutions.

Support pricing, cost estimates and commercial negotiations, ensuring alignment with company strategy.

Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline and produce regular business development reports for senior management.

Attend industry events, conferences and client meetings to promote Kigtek Solutions and generate leads.

Keep up to date with market trends, competitor activity and emerging technologies relevant to our business.

    Qualifications & Skills

Degree in engineering, technical discipline or equivalent experience preferred.

Proven experience in a business development, sales or commercial role within an engineering or technical services environment (minimum 3–5 years desirable).

Strong technical understanding to confidently engage with engineering teams and clients.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.

Commercial awareness with experience of preparing proposals and pricing technical services.

Familiarity with CRM systems and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) essential.

    Full UK driving licence.

    Personal Attributes

Self‑motivated with a positive, professional attitude.

Strong interpersonal skills; able to build rapport at all levels.

Organised, detail‑focused and able to manage multiple priorities.

Commercially minded, with a pragmatic approach to problem‑solving.

A collaborative team player who can also work independently.

    Why Join Kigtek Solutions?

Commitment to professional development and career progression.

Supportive, inclusive workplace culture focused on teamwork and innovation.

Opportunity to influence growth strategy in a dynamic engineering business.

Competitive benefits package including pension and healthcare.

Work on varied projects with blue‑chip and industrial clients.

    Ready to Join Us?

If you are a driven and technically capable Business Development Engineer who wants to help shape the future of Kigtek Solutions, we’d love to hear from you.
