How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are seeking an HR Advisor to join a dynamic team, providing comprehensive HR support across a complex, commercial, and multi-divisional organisation. This role is ideal for a proactive individual with broad knowledge and experience in HR practices, including Employee Relations, performance management, and organisational change.


    Day-to-Day of the Role:

    • Provide end-to-end support and coaching on Employee Relations matters to line managers
    • Support investigations into disciplinary, grievance, and other workplace matters, including evidence gathering and documentation preparation.
    • Offer practical HR advice on a wide range of matters such as absence management, performance issues, and exit processes.
    • Coordinate Occupational Health referrals, guide managers on employee wellbeing, and manage return-to-work plans.
    • Ensure the correct application of contractual terms and conditions and advise on employment legislation and company policies.
    • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and consistency.
    • Deliver induction programmes for new starters and maintain HR dashboards and reports to support the People team.
    • Assist with organisational change projects, including consultation and redundancy processes, and coordinate TUPE transfers.


    Required Skills & Qualifications:

    • Extensive experience as an HR/ER Advisor within a complex, commercial environment.
    • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices, with the ability to apply these in a commercial setting.
    • Experience with HR systems and producing accurate HR reports.
    • Excellent coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of building effective relationships at all levels.
    • CIPD Level 5 qualification is desirable
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP), Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
    • Full UK driving licence and flexibility for UK-wide travel, including occasional overnight stays.
