Mining Training and Development Facilitator

At Saint-Gobain Interior Solutions (SGIS) we're looking for a Mining Training and Development Facilitator to join our Geological & Mining Services team.

This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk all day.

We're looking for someone who's at their best when they're out meeting people, asking questions, building relationships and understanding how things work in the real world. You'll spend time across our mining operations, learning from experienced teams, observing processes first-hand and helping to capture their expertise in a way that supports training, safety and continuous improvement.

As part of Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland, SGIS plays a vital role in supporting our mining operations across the UK. This position offers the chance to work with a wide variety of stakeholders, influence how training is delivered across our sites and become a key part of developing the next generation of talent within the business.

This is full-time position, and you'll be primarily based in the Midlands, with regular travel across our five mining operations throughout the UK.

What we're looking for:

Experience within a training, learning & development, compliance, manufacturing, engineering or heavy industry environment.
Ability to build credibility and strong working relationships with colleagues at all levels, from frontline operators through to site leadership teams.
Experience creating or maintaining procedures, training materials, work instructions or other technical documentation.
A proactive approach, with the confidence to identify improvement opportunities and take ownership of delivering solutions.
Understanding of competency management, apprenticeships, workforce development or training compliance would be advantageous.What you'll be doing:

Working closely with site teams to identify opportunities to improve training, competence and operational consistency across our mining operations.
Creating practical SOPs, Safe Systems of Work and training resources that support safe, efficient and compliant ways of working.
Delivering engaging training and coaching activities for colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
Acting as a trusted partner to operational leaders, providing support and challenge around people development, training compliance and best practice.
Supporting continuous improvement projects, competency management and workforce development initiatives across multiple sites.Are SGIS and Saint-Gobain inclusive employers?
