Purpose of the Role:
To plan, coordinate, and manage building demolition projects safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all legislative, environmental, and client requirements. The role is responsible for contractor coordination, CDM compliance, health and safety management, programme delivery, and stakeholder engagement throughout all phases of demolition works.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Delivery
* Manage demolition projects from pre-construction through to completion.
* Develop demolition methodologies, work programmes, and sequencing plans.
* Coordinate surveys, utility disconnections, asbestos removal, and enabling works.
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.
* Monitor progress against programme and implement corrective actions where required.
CDM Compliance
* Ensure compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM).
* Support duties associated with Principal Contractor and Client requirements.
* Review and contribute to Construction Phase Plans (CPPs).
* Ensure suitable risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are prepared and implemented.
* Maintain project documentation and statutory records.
Contractor Coordination
* Appoint, manage, and coordinate subcontractors and specialist demolition contractors.
* Conduct contractor inductions and performance reviews.
* Ensure contractors comply with site safety rules and project requirements.
* Coordinate daily activities between contractors, clients, utility providers, and stakeholders.
* Manage contractor permits to work and site access controls
Salary description
£40.00 - £45.00 per hour
