How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Behaviour Intervention Lead needed in Solihull, Birmingham
Are you passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning? Do you have the skills to build positive relationships, manage challenging behaviour and help students achieve success both inside and outside the classroom?
Join our agency team and work in a supportive Alternative Provision supporting students aged 11-16 with SEMH needs, ASD, attachment disorders and behavioural needs.
    Location: Solihull
    Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Ongoing, with potential for permanent placement
    About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming Alternative Provision where positive relationships are at the heart of every student's journey.
As the Behaviour Intervention Lead, you'll work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams and senior leaders to support students whose behaviour presents barriers to learning. You'll implement behaviour strategies, deliver targeted interventions and help students develop emotional regulation, resilience and positive coping strategies.
Your ability to remain calm, build trust and model positive behaviour will play a key role in helping students achieve successful outcomes.
    What We're Looking For:
Experience working with young people displaying challenging behaviour
Background in education, Alternative Provision, youth work, mentoring or children's services
    Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure and de-escalate situations effectively
    Strong understanding of safeguarding
A resilient, patient and proactive approach
    Desirable (but not essential):
Experience supporting students with SEMH, ASD or attachment needs
Training in restorative practice or de-escalation techniques
Previous Alternative Provision or PRU experience
Behaviour management or pastoral leadership experience
    What We Offer:
A supportive and experienced leadership team
    Excellent opportunities for professional development
Small student groups where relationships come first
    Competitive rates of pay
    Long-term opportunity with permanent potential
A rewarding role where every day makes a difference
If you're passionate about helping young people overcome challenges and achieve success, we'd love to hear from you.
