How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Planner - Social Housing

    Location: West London
    Salary: £15.48 per hour PAYE
    Hours: 42.5 hours per week
    Contract: Temp to Perm
    Working Pattern: Fully Office Based

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Planner to join a busy property services team based in West London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong planning, scheduling or repairs administration experience who is looking for a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent.

    The Role

    As a Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling works, ensuring jobs are allocated efficiently and customers and operatives are kept updated throughout the process.

    Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

    Planning and scheduling repairs and maintenance works
    Allocating jobs to operatives and managing diaries
    Liaising with operatives, tenants, contractors and internal teams
    Managing workloads and prioritising urgent repairs
    Monitoring outstanding jobs and ensuring works are completed within agreed timescales
    Updating internal systems with accurate job and appointment information
    Dealing with queries from customers and operatives
    Ensuring appointments are booked efficiently and communicated clearly
    Providing general administrative support to the repairs and maintenance team

    About You

    We are looking for someone who:

    Has previous experience within repairs, maintenance, housing or property services
    Has experience in a planning, scheduling or coordination role
    Is confident dealing with a busy workload and changing priorities
    Has excellent communication and organisational skills
    Is comfortable working with computer systems and databases
    Can work well under pressure and meet deadlines
    Has a strong customer-focused approach
    Is reliable, proactive and works well as part of a team
