🔧 The Role
As a Premises Assistant, you will support the smooth day-to-day running and maintenance of the school site. Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs around the school
Ensuring the school buildings and grounds are safe, secure and well maintained
Supporting with opening and closing the school premises
Moving furniture and equipment when required
Assisting with deliveries and contractors
Carrying out health and safety checks
Maintaining outdoor areas and playgrounds
Reporting maintenance issues and supporting the Site Manager where needed
Helping to ensure the school provides a welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors
👤 The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for someone who is:
✅ Reliable, punctual and hardworking
✅ Practical and confident carrying out general maintenance tasks
✅ Proactive, organised and able to work independently
✅ Friendly and approachable with a professional manner
✅ Committed to maintaining high standards of health and safety
✅ Ideally experienced in a school, public-sector or similar premises/maintenance environment
Previous school experience is desirable but not essential.
