How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Role: Associate Data Analyst

    Location: St Ives

    Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30AM - 16:30PM (Hybrid optional) 

    Salary: Competitive

    6 Month Contract - Immediate Start Available

    OA are currently working with a well established client based in St Ives, currently looking to recruit for an experienced Associate Data Analyst to assist in analytical tasks related to external data and maintain the Brand and Sales Teams’ Power BI reports. 

    Duties of an Associate Data Analyst:

    Collect, process and analyse external market, sales and consumer data, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
    Maintain and update Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring data is reliable, accurate and presented clearly.
    Design, manage and analyse consumer surveys, turning findings into meaningful insights for the business.
    Support the Brand and Sales teams with ad-hoc data analysis, creating reports and Excel/Power BI solutions to support decision-making.
    Work alongside the BI team on data projects, including data mapping, data structures and system improvements.
    Contribute to customer segmentation and wider data analysis, identifying trends and insights from internal and external data

    What we would like from you:

    Previous experience in a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, Insights Analyst, Commercial Analyst or similar analytical role.
    Proven experience using Power BI to create, maintain or update reports and dashboards
    Experience working with external, market, sales, customer or consumer data, including collecting, cleaning and analysing information.
    Experience with survey platforms, market research or databases, with the ability to interpret and present findings.
    Strong Excel and data analysis skills, with excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to working with data.
