How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Street Works / Project Coordinator
    £28,000 - £35,000 + Training + Progression + Excellent Benefits
    Gateshead, Tyne and Wear (Commutable from: Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham, Washington, Peterlee)

    This specialist manufacturer operates at a multi-million-pound turnover, supplying signage and fabricated metal products to a wide range of industries, including rail and transport networks. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, they are now seeking an experienced Street Works Coordinator to strengthen their team.

    In this varied office-based role, you will support the Regional Manager by ensuring street works permits are accurate and submitted on time, installation teams have the information they need, timesheets, orders, invoices and other administration are managed efficiently.

    This role would suit someone with experience in Street Work Permits, who is looking to progress their career with a genuine market leading company who have exciting plans for the future.

    The Role:
    - Street Works Coordinator
    - Manage planning, permitting, and scheduling of installations
    - Mon to Fri (8am - 4.30pm)

    The Person:
    - Knowledge of street works/highways permitting
    - Commutable to Gateshead
