How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Murphy is recruiting for a Package Manager to work with Energy in Banniskirk or Inverness with the ability to travel.

    A day in the life of a Murphy Package Manager

    Establish and promote best practice in health, safety and environmental matters in conjunction with the SHQE department.
    Input into Construction Phase Plans (H&S Plans), Risk Assessments, Work Package Plans (Method Statements) and Task Briefings in line with Murphy procedures.
    Ensure workplaces under their control have effective systems, arrangements and supervision for providing a safe workplace.
    Drive a positive delivery culture by means of promoting best practise in safety, quality and environment.
    Organise and lead pre-construction meetings with supply chain to ensure works are fit-to-start.
    Attend and contribute to weekly meetings with site team regarding safety, progress, expenditure, costs and programme.
    Lead and record subcontractor weekly progress meeting, tracking KPI’s, safety performance, deliverables, commercial actions.
    Establish close working relationship with site supervision to ensure cost-effective use of labour and plant.
    Package Manager will be responsible for predominantly full package ownership from detailing design, construction delivery, to commissioning & close out.
    Provide technical support to project delivery team (engineering and site supervision teams).
    Establish and maintain close working relationship with buying department to ensure compliant advantageous procurement terms.
    Develop project delivery sequencing and programme with supply chain delivery partner(s), and Project Manager.

    Min. HNC/HND Civil Engineering or equivalent, ideally a degree.
    SCS Card (Black or White) and SSSTS/SMSTS
    Understanding of NEC3 Contract
    Package Manager to have an engineering background with minimum of HNC/HND in relevant engineering discipline.
    Experience working on substations is preferable but not essential
