Key Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, budgets and forecasts
* Provide meaningful financial analysis and commentary to support business decisions
* Support budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management processes
* Undertake financial administration, reconciliations and internal audits
* Assist with external audits and respond to audit queries
* Work closely with managers across the business to provide financial insight and support
* Develop and improve financial systems, controls and reporting processes
* Monitor income and expenditure against budgets and highlight variances
* Support and mentor junior members of the finance team
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies
* Maintain accurate financial records and compliance with company procedures
About You
* Part-qualified or qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA accountant
* Previous experience within a Management Accountant role
* Strong technical accounting knowledge
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems
* Experience preparing management accounts, budgets and forecasts
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
* High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
* Able to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
* Construction industry experience would be highly advantageous
* Proactive, organised and committed to continuous improvement
