This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Document Controller looking to progress their career within a major construction environment, working on large-scale and complex projects alongside experienced project, design, commercial and construction teams.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the effective management and control of project information, ensuring documentation is accurately recorded, distributed and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
The Role
As Senior Document Controller, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of project documentation and information, ensuring all records are controlled in accordance with company procedures, project requirements and industry best practice.
Key responsibilities will include:

Managing the full lifecycle of project documentation from receipt through to distribution, revision and archiving.

Maintaining accurate document registers, trackers, logs and project databases.
*
Controlling drawings, specifications, reports, technical information and other project documentation.
*
Uploading, issuing, distributing and managing information through the project CDE/EDMS.
*
Monitoring document revisions and ensuring project teams are working from the latest approved information.

Managing document transmittals and maintaining clear and accurate audit trails.
*
Working closely with Project Managers, Design Managers, Site Managers, Commercial teams, consultants, subcontractors and wider project stakeholders.

Ensuring project information is issued in line with agreed procedures, deadlines and workflows.

Producing regular document control and information management reports.
*
Monitoring outstanding documentation and following up with relevant stakeholders where required.

Ensuring project documentation complies with company procedures, contractual requirements and project-specific standards.

Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of document control processes and systems.
*
Identifying and resolving document control issues to ensure the smooth flow of project information.
*
Providing guidance and support to junior Document Controllers and wider project teams where required.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Document Controller with a strong background within construction, ideally gained working for a Tier 1 main contractor, major contractor or large construction organisation.
