How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Description

    The role of the Residential Conveyancer involves managing the legal process of buying and selling residential property on behalf of clients. The successful candidate will handle all aspects of conveyancing from initial instruction to completion, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and delivering a high level of client service. This position requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure within a fast-paced legal environment. Senior appointment within the firm with a strong support team assisting this position. 

    Job Duties

    Conduct legal research and investigate title deeds to establish ownership and identify any restrictions or charges on properties.
    Prepare and review contracts, transfer documents, and other legal paperwork related to residential property transactions.
    Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage providers, surveyors, and other relevant parties throughout the conveyancing process.
    Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements including anti-money laundering procedures.
    Manage the exchange and completion of contracts, coordinating dates and funds transfer to ensure timely completion.
    Provide clear, accurate advice and updates to clients regarding the progress of their transactions.
    Identify and resolve potential issues or delays that may arise during the conveyancing process.
    Maintain detailed and accurate records of all transactions and correspondence.
    Utilise conveyancing software to manage case files and documentation efficiently.
    Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistency and quality of service.
