How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Resident Liaison Officer

    Salary/Day Rate: 

    £180 - £220 / day, 

    Location: Haywards Heath
    Full time – Temp to Perm
    Start Date: ASAP

    The Opportunity

    Our client, a leading construction contractor, is looking to appoint an experienced Resident Liaison Officer to support the successful delivery of a major construction project in Haywards Heath.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a personable and proactive individual to become the key point of contact between the site team and residents, businesses and the wider community throughout the construction programme.

    Working closely with the Project Lead and Construction Manager, you'll play a vital role in keeping residents informed, managing enquiries and concerns, and ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the project.

    Key Responsibilities

    Act as the main point of contact for residents, businesses and local stakeholders affected by the project.
    Build positive relationships with residents and ensure excellent customer service throughout the construction programme.
    Keep residents informed of upcoming works, access requirements and programme updates.
    Organise and attend resident meetings, drop-in sessions and community engagement events.
    Produce and distribute newsletters, letters and project communications.
    Respond promptly to resident enquiries, complaints and concerns, ensuring issues are resolved professionally and efficiently.
    Maintain accurate records of resident interactions, complaints and resolutions.
    Work closely with the site management team to minimise disruption to residents wherever possible.
    Support the project team in delivering a positive customer journey from start to completion.
    Liaise with local authorities, housing providers and community organisations where required.
    Ensure all communications reflect the company's commitment to customer satisfaction and community engagement.
    About You

    We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people and has previous experience in a customer-facing role within construction or social housing.

    You'll ideally have experience as a:

    Resident Liaison Officer (RLO)
    Tenant Liaison Officer (TLO)
    Customer Liaison Officer
    Resident Engagement Officer
    Housing Officer
    Community Liaison Officer
    Experience Required

    Previous experience as a Resident Liaison Officer or similar customer-facing role within construction, social housing or planned works.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    Experience handling resident enquiries, complaints and conflict resolution.
    Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    Confident working alongside site teams, clients and residents.
    Professional, empathetic and customer-focused approach.
    Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
