How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Quality Control Inspector – Night Shift
    Aerospace Precision Engineering - AS9100
    Romford, Essex
    £32,000 - £35,000
    Precision engineering. Aerospace standards. Quality that matters.
    An established aerospace precision engineering business is expanding its quality team and is looking for an experienced Quality Control Inspector to join its permanent night shift.
    The business manufactures complex machined and fabricated aerospace components within a highly regulated AS9100 environment, offering a stable long-term opportunity within a business investing heavily in its manufacturing and quality capability.
    The Role
    * You’ll play a critical role in ensuring components meet exacting customer and aerospace requirements from first-off through to final inspection.
    * Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspection
    * Inspect complex components against engineering drawings, specifications and customer requirements
    * Use conventional inspection equipment including micrometers, verniers, height gauges and thread gauges
    * Interpret engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T
    * Maintain accurate inspection, quality and traceability documentation
    * Raise and support non-conformance activities
    * Work closely with Production and Engineering to identify and resolve quality issues
    What You’ll Bring
    * Previous inspection experience within aerospace or precision engineering
    * Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
    * Good understanding of tolerances and GD&T
    * Confident using conventional inspection equipment
    * Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
    * Experience working within a controlled manufacturing environment
    Why This Role?
    A genuine long-term opportunity for an experienced Inspector who wants to work within a clean, organised and well-equipped aerospace manufacturing environment, inspecting technically demanding components rather than high-volume commodity parts.
    On offer:
    * Competitive salary
    * Night shift premium
    * Healthcare benefits
    * Generous holiday allowance
    * Well-equipped manufacturing environment
    * Long-term career opportunity within a growing aerospace business
    Please apply and I’ll be in touch for a confidential discussion
