How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    As an Engineering Manager in the Central Belt of Scotland, you'll oversee the day-to-day engineering operations within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. Your role will ensure that engineering processes run smoothly and efficiently, supporting the overall performance of the business.

    This role is with an organisation based in the Central Belt of Scotland within the FMCG industry working for a brand that are passionate with regards to their quality and innovation.

    Description

    Lead and manage a large engineering team (circa 30 heads) to deliver effective operations.
    Oversee maintenance schedules to ensure machinery and equipment are fully operational.
    Implement and monitor safety and compliance standards across all engineering activities.
    Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
    Manage budgets and resources effectively to meet operational goals.
    Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives.
    Analyse and report on engineering performance and KPIs.
    Provide technical expertise and leadership to resolve engineering challenges.Profile

    A successful Engineering Manager should have:

    Ideally degree educated within an Engineering discipline
    Proven experience working at Senior Leadership level within Engineering in the FMCG industry.
    Proven track record managing large teams (cica 30 heads)
    Passion for CI and driving improvement projects
    Solid understanding of engineering processes and maintenance practices.
    Knowledge of safety and compliance standards.
    Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
    Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.Job Offer

    Salary ranging from £70,000 to £80,000, dependent on the level of experience.
