Working with an impressive portfolio of public and private sector clients, they provide expertise across commercial offices, industrial, retail, healthcare, education, residential, infrastructure and mixed-use developments.
Due to the continued growth of their Building Consultancy team, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Chartered Senior Building Surveyor to join their established and highly regarded team based in Scotland.
Your new role
As a Chartered Senior Building Surveyor, you will be involved in a diverse range of professional and project-led instruction across a varied property portfolio. This role offers exposure to both traditional building surveying services and high-value project work, providing an excellent variety of career development opportunities.
Your responsibilities will include:
Technical due diligence and pre-acquisition surveys
Dilapidations advice and negotiations on behalf of landlords and tenants
Planned preventative maintenance strategies and condition surveys
Contract administration and project management
Refurbishment, fit-out and asset improvement projects
Defect diagnosis and technical reporting
Schedules of condition and reinstatement cost assessments
Building pathology investigations
Party wall matters and neighbourly issues
Client relationship management and business development
Mentoring and supporting junior surveyors within the team
You will work closely with a diverse client base, delivering tailored solutions across both professional and project commissions while contributing to the continued success of the wider business.
What you'll need to succeed
MRICS qualification and Chartered Building Surveyor status
Proven experience within a consultancy environment
Strong technical knowledge of professional building surveying services
Experience managing refurbishment and construction projects
Excellent report-writing and client-facing skills
Commercial awareness and the ability to develop client relationships
Strong organisational and project management capabilities
A proactive and collaborative approach to delivering high-quality work
A full UK driving licence
