How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About The Role

We're looking for an experienced actuarial professional to join our International Organisations Health (IOH) Actuarial Pricing & Consulting team.

In this role, you'll play a key part in shaping the financial performance and pricing strategy of a diverse international health portfolio. Working in partnership with Underwriting, Finance, Product, Commercial, and Operational teams, you'll provide data-driven insights and actuarial expertise that support business decisions, portfolio profitability, and sustainable growth.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical actuarial excellence with commercial thinking. You'll lead complex pricing analyses, develop and enhance actuarial models, evaluate emerging claims and portfolio trends, and provide recommendations to senior stakeholders across the business. The role offers exposure to both medical and non-medical products, strategic projects, pricing transformation initiatives, and an international customer base.

    You'll Be Responsible For:

    * Leading pricing reviews across medical and non-medical products, analysing claims, utilisation, premium, membership, provider, and expense data to support sound pricing decisions and portfolio performance.

    * Developing pricing assumptions, profitability assessments, scenario analysis, and business cases that support new business, renewals, and strategic decision-making.

    * Designing, enhancing, and maintaining actuarial pricing models, tools, and methodologies, while ensuring strong governance, testing, validation, and documentation standards.

    * Identifying opportunities to improve pricing processes through automation, standardisation, and the use of analytical tools such as Excel, Alteryx, SQL, Power BI, Python, or similar technologies.

    * Partnering with Underwriting, Finance, Product, and Commercial teams to provide actuarial insight, challenge assumptions, and support pricing strategy across a diverse international health portfolio.

    * Delivering portfolio and client profitability reviews, monitoring claims trends and emerging experience, and presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

    * Supporting strategic initiatives, pricing transformation projects, market opportunities, and the continued evolution of pricing capabilities across International Health.

What You'll Bring to the Role:

    * Previous experience in actuarial pricing, insurance pricing, healthcare insurance, or a related analytical environment.

    * Progress towards, or completion of, a recognised actuarial qualification, alongside a degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.

    * Strong experience in pricing, experience analysis, profitability assessment, claims trend analysis, financial modelling, and business case development.

    * Experience working with healthcare, medical, life, disability, accident, income protection, or other insurance products.

    * Advanced Excel skills, with experience developing, reviewing, and maintaining complex actuarial or pricing models.

    * Experience applying analytical and automation tools such as Alteryx, SQL, Power BI, Python, or similar technologies.

    * Strong understanding of actuarial modelling, pricing governance, control frameworks, and risk management principles.

    * Experience partnering with Underwriting, Finance, Product, Commercial, or other business stakeholders to support pricing and portfolio decisions.

    * Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and actuarial insights to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.

    * Experience working within international organisations, global portfolios, or multi-currency environments would be advantageous.

    * Previous experience mentoring, coaching, or reviewing the work of junior colleagues would be beneficial.
