How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Your new role
    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Corporate Solicitor to join a highly regarded Corporate team in Guildford at Senior Associate level. You will advise a broad range of clients on complex corporate transactions and strategic business matters, working closely with business owners, investors and corporate stakeholders.Your work will include advising on mergers and acquisitions, disposals, investments, shareholder arrangements and corporate restructures, alongside drafting and negotiating transaction documents and wider commercial agreements. You will manage transactions from inception through to completion, providing commercially minded advice throughout the deal lifecycle.You will play a key role in maintaining and developing client relationships, supporting business development initiatives and contributing to the growth of the practice. The position also offers the opportunity to supervise and mentor junior lawyers while working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider firm.

    What you'll need to succeed
    You will be a qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with strong corporate law experience gained within a recognised corporate practice.You will have experience advising on a range of corporate matters, including M&A transactions, investments, shareholder matters and general corporate governance. Strong drafting, negotiation and transaction management skills will be essential, together with the ability to provide commercially focused advice to clients.You will be confident managing your own matters, developing client relationships and working effectively within a collaborative team environment. Excellent communication skills, commercial awareness and an interest in business development will be important, alongside a desire to contribute to the continued success and growth of the team.
