How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Site Manager Opportunity - Leading M&E Contractor - Glasgow Area
    We are working with a leading M&E contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to support the delivery of a growing portfolio of projects across Glasgow and the surrounding areas.
    The company are well respected within the commercial fit-out and data centre sectors and have recently secured a significant pipeline of new work across Scotland. Due to this continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their regional delivery team with an experienced Supervisor.
    You will be working across projects ranging from approximately £100k to £5m, overseeing site delivery across mechanical, electrical, fit-out and associated civil packages.
    The Role
    * Supervise day-to-day site activities across M&E and associated construction packages.
    * Oversee mechanical, electrical, fit-out and minor civil works.
    * Manage and coordinate trades teams, subcontractors and specialist contractors.
    * Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with programme.
    * Monitor quality of installations against drawings and specifications.
    * Coordinate closely with Project Managers and other members of the delivery team.
    * Carry out site inspections and identify potential quality or programme issues.
    * Ensure subcontractors are working in line with company health & safety procedures.
    * Assist with short-term planning and coordination of site activities.
    * Monitor materials, deliveries and site logistics.
    * Support testing, commissioning, snagging and project handover.
    * Maintain high standards of workmanship throughout project delivery.
    Candidate Requirements
    * Previous experience as an M&E Supervisor, Mechanical Supervisor, Electrical Supervisor, Site Supervisor or Building Services Supervisor.
    * Good understanding of mechanical and electrical building services installations.
    * Experience within commercial fit-out, data centres or similar construction environments.
    * An understanding of fit-out and associated civil works would be advantageous.
    * Experience supervising trades teams and subcontractors.
    * Strong understanding of health & safety requirements on construction sites.
    * Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
    * Strong communication and site coordination skills.
    * SMSTS or SSSTS would be advantageous.
