How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Your New Company

We are currently recruiting for an IT Support Analyst to join an established team on a permanent basis. This is a newly created position due to the organisations growth. Please note this role is 5 days a week on site in Guildford. This is an excellent opportunity for an existing 1st Line/ Service Desk, or IT Support Analyst looking for the next step in their career. You'll be joining a collaborative team who enjoy providing high-quality technical support to internal customers, whilst contributing to the ongoing improvement of IT services and infrastructure. Working closely with colleagues across the business, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliable operation of technology systems and delivering an excellent end-user experience.

    Your New Role

As an IT Support Analyst, you will provide hands-on 1st and 2nd line support, responding to incidents and service requests in a professional and timely manner. You will diagnose and resolve a range of technical issues, including user account administration, password resets, multi-factor authentication support, software installations and hardware faults. You will also be responsible for configuring and deploying new hardware and software, supporting IT operations and maintenance activities, and helping to maintain a stable and secure technology environment.

The role will involve maintaining accurate IT documentation, assisting with hardware asset management and inventory control, and working closely with senior IT colleagues and third-party suppliers where escalation is required. You will also be encouraged to develop your technical knowledge and contribute ideas for improving IT processes and enhancing the overall user experience. Some travel between sites will be required, therefore a full UK driving licence is essential.

    What You'll Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience providing technical support in a similar role (providing BAU and project support) and possess strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. You will have experience supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments, managing hardware lifecycle activities, and installing, configuring and maintaining desktops, laptops, printers and associated IT equipment.

You will have a solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including connectivity troubleshooting, along with exposure to Active Directory, DNS, DHCP or similar user management technologies. Knowledge of IT service management frameworks such as ITIL and an appreciation of cyber security best practices are also important.Additional experience with technologies such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft 365 administration, Cisco Meraki, Sophos Central, backup solutions or Linux environments would be advantageous but is not essential.

Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications or ITIL Foundation would also be beneficial.

    What You'll Get in Return

Salary around £38,000 (possibly some flexibility in this depending on your experience), performance related annual bonus, 36 days annual leave (inclusive of BH), optional private health and dental insurance, salary sacrifice schemes, incl. cycle to work, pension contributions matched up to 10% by the Company, annual employee medical, training & development opportunities and relocation assistance (where applicable).

In addition, you will also benefit from ongoing professional development opportunities, exposure to a broad range of technologies and the chance to work within a supportive and collaborative team environment.
