How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Project Manager (NEC Contracts)

    Glasgow

    £60,000 - £80,000 + Private Healthcare + Discretionary Bonus + Professional Development

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with strong NEC contract experience to join a growing construction consultancy offering genuine responsibility, professional development and the opportunity to work across a varied portfolio of complex projects. You will take ownership of projects from a contractual and delivery perspective, working closely with clients, contractors and wider project teams.

Are you a Project Manager with strong NEC experience who understands both the contractual and practical sides of construction? Do you enjoy getting into the detail of programmes, risk and project administration while also dealing directly with clients and contractors? Are you looking for a role where you can develop your expertise and potentially progress into a senior leadership position?

This specialist consultancy provides project delivery and construction consultancy services across a range of construction disciplines, supporting clients throughout the project lifecycle. The business is continuing to grow and is looking for an experienced Project Manager who can take ownership of projects and contribute to delivering a high-quality service to its clients.

You will manage the project and contractual administration of NEC projects, acting as a key point of contact between clients, contractors and project teams. Day to day, this will include managing NEC communications and notifications, reviewing programmes and logic, assessing risks and key dates, attending project meetings and providing clear reporting and advice to clients.

This is not a purely administrative contract role. The ideal candidate will have genuine construction project experience and be able to understand what is happening on a project, challenge programmes, identify potential issues and communicate effectively with the people responsible for delivering the work. A civil engineering or construction background would be particularly well suited.

The role also offers excellent scope for professional development, with support available for NEC accreditation, chartership and postgraduate study in construction law. For the right individual, there is potential to progress into a senior leadership position as the business continues to grow.

    The Role:

    * Managing project and contractual administration across NEC projects
    * Reviewing programmes, project logic, risks and key dates
    * Managing NEC communications, notifications and contractual requirements
    * Working directly with clients, contractors and designers to resolve project issues
    * Providing project reporting and taking ownership of project delivery matters

    The Person:

    * Experienced Project Manager within construction or civil engineering
    * Strong practical understanding of NEC contracts and contract administration
    * Able to interpret drawings, programmes and technical project information
    * Confident managing relationships with clients, contractors and project teams
    * Commercially aware with strong attention to detail and communication skills
    * Ambitious, mature and looking for long-term progression

    Reference Number: BBBH(phone number removed)
