We’re a small, family-run garage door company covering Coventry and the wider West Midlands. We supply and install garage doors for domestic customers and pride ourselves on providing a personal, reliable service.
We’re looking for an experienced or hands-on Garage Door Fitter to join our friendly team and become an important part of the business.
The Role
As a Garage Door Fitter, you’ll be responsible for installing and servicing garage doors at customers’ homes across Coventry and the surrounding areas.
Your day-to-day work will include:
* Installing sectional, roller, up-and-over and side-hinged garage doors
* Carrying out occasional repair and servicing work
* Working directly at domestic customer properties
* Measuring, fitting and adjusting doors to ensure a quality installation
* Troubleshooting and solving practical problems on site
* Maintaining a professional and friendly approach with customers
* Looking after company tools and vehicle
You’ll be provided with a company van and the tools required for the role. The van will be kept at our yard, with the work focused locally, meaning you’ll be home every night.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is practical, reliable and enjoys hands-on work. Every garage is different, so the ability to think on your feet and find solutions is more important to us than having a long list of qualifications.
Garage door fitting experience would be ideal, but it’s not essential. We’d also be interested in candidates with experience in:
* Window fitting
* Door fitting
* Joinery
* Carpentry
* Other hands-on installation or construction work
If you have the right attitude and practical skills, we’re happy to provide training in garage door installation.
A full UK driving licence is essential.
Working Hours
* Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
* Some flexibility may be required when a job runs beyond 5pm to ensure it is completed properly
* No weekend work
* Local work across Coventry and the West Midlands
* Home every night
