How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Scope

    The role is responsible for the co-ordination and leadership of a project team to deliver project[s]

    on time, within budget and to quality standards

    Need to Have

    At least 5 years in a similar role

    3 Years experience in Mission Critical communications
    Degree in relevant discipline and Project Management Accreditation desirable

    Good Technical understanding of Telecommunications Industry essential

    Understanding of the industry Health & Safety requirements essential

    Excellent Commercial aptitude

    Strong understanding of project methodology

    Excellent oral and written communications skills

    Strong leadership and coaching skills

    Strong organisational ability with experience in MS Project or similar project tools

    Proven people skills in delivery of project KPI’s and experience in customer facing role

    Need to Do

    People Management

    • The effective leadership and management of project team[s], including the development of team[s] and individuals, site based or office based, in partnership with HR and other departments

    • Act as mentor to new Junior Project Managers on the team

    • Ensure project team has the necessary safety training/inductions to undertake site work

    • Implementation of the performance management system

    • Assisting and supporting the team in the implementation and recording of training

    Operational

    • Implementation and maintenance of relevant approved processes, procedures, health and safety and technical standards and ensure their consistency with requirements of other departments

    • Management of the relevant sub-contractors, monitor performance in terms of time, cost, quality and health & safety

    • Responsible for building a solid schedule of works in conjunction with the Program Manager

    • Ensure familiarity of client specifications and update and audit sites accordingly

    • Oversee snagging process and manage all corrective actions prior to client handover

    • Responsible for ensuring all handover documentation is completed and submitted Right First Time

    • Responsible for materials and plant ordering

    • Undertake all necessary actions and support to facilitate achievement of delivery team targets in terms of time [programme], cost, quality and Client SLA

    Health & Safety

    • Ensure all project activities/project team are fully compliant with the Company Safety Management System and relevant statutory regulations
    • Preparation of all necessary documentation e.g. H&S Plan, Site Survey checklist, Materials List (if applicable), Site Completion Pack (if applicable)

    • Ensure that sub-contractors have received appropriate safety training and receive regular audits to ensure compliance

    • Ensure that project team are wearing the correct and specified personal protective equipment [PPE]

    • Review safety inspections for sites and liaise with the Safety Officer to ensure that any recurring problems are rectified by the Crew Leaders

    Environment

    • Ensure all project activities/project team are fully compliant with all the requirements of the Environmental Management System

    • Responsible for ensuring all works are carried out in compliance with company’s environmental standard i.e. site waste disposal, materials used – refer to SHEQ-1003 and SHEQ-1022 for listing of Environmental Aspects and Hazardous substances used in the company

    Commercial Awareness

    • Be proactive in building a positive relationship with the Client Project Team

    • Ensure thorough understanding of project commercials

    • Preparation of site specific client quotations

    • Preparation, agreement and tracking of quotations for variations with client in conjunction with the Senior PM

    • Evaluation and Certification of all relevant supplier and sub-contractor invoices

    • Preparation of P&L accounts for individual sites to track commercial performance

    • Delivery of KPI’s with nominal Additional Works and stringent adherence to Health and Safety/Quality protocols

    Communication

    • Attend project/programme/client meetings, as required, to ensure effective communication across the project

    Need to Be

    Focused on ensuring delivery right first time

    Able to understand and meet client expectations in line with project scope

    Self-starter who can operate effectively in a dynamic and fast paced organization
