How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    What we ask

    Education

    No minimum education required

    Job description

There's a particular kind of energy on a site that's building three hundred plots a year, and it's not for everyone. It suits people who like pace, who like knowing that what they draw this month will be foundations by autumn, and who don't mind a bit of noise in the diary. This developer builds thousands of homes across the country every year, and their South Yorkshire division is looking for someone to join the technical team behind one of their busiest live regions.

    The Role

You'll be working across a portfolio of house-type led developments, taking sites from technical handover through to build-ready information, and keeping the whole process moving at the speed this kind of programme demands. It's a role built for someone who wants to properly learn the volume housebuilding machine, structured, well-resourced, and with a clear route upward if you want it.

    What you'll be doing

    • Coordinating technical information from planning submission through to construction issue, working closely with the design and technical managers above you.
    • Reviewing house type drawings against site-specific conditions and flagging where standard details need adapting.
    • Liaising with architects, structural engineers and NHBC to keep technical approvals on track.
    • Managing discharge of planning conditions and supporting Building Regulations submissions.
    • Attending technical and design team meetings, keeping accurate records of decisions and actions.
    • Supporting the commercial team with technical queries during the tender and package procurement process.

    What we're looking for

    • Some experience in a technical coordination role within housebuilding, ideally with exposure to NHBC standards.
    • A working knowledge of the planning process and what discharge of conditions actually involves in practice.
    • Comfortable with fast-paced, high-volume programmes and confident managing several live sites at once.
    • Good organisational instincts, this role rewards people who can keep a lot of plates spinning without dropping any.
    • A relevant qualification (construction, building surveying, or similar) is useful but not essential if your experience speaks for itself.

    What's on offer

    • £40,000 - £55,000 depending on experience.
    • Car allowance and a strong benefits package including private healthcare.
    • Genuine structured progression within a large technical function.
    • Study support if you're working towards a professional qualification.
    • A busy, well-run technical team with real investment in training.
