Are you an experienced warehouse professional looking for a varied role?
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation for a Warehouse Supervisor to join its busy logistics operation in Livingston.
This is a key role within the distribution network, supporting the management team and helping to ensure colleagues are well trained, motivated and working safely while delivering an excellent customer experience.

Life assuranceThe Role
You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of a busy distribution centre.
You'll provide leadership and guidance to the warehouse team, ensuring goods are received, checked, prepared and dispatched correctly while maintaining high standards of health and safety throughout the operation.
Your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the unloading and receipt of goods into the warehouse
Supervising the completion of required delivery vehicle checks and documentation
Ensuring relevant vehicle documentation is correctly maintained and available for inspection
Overseeing quality inspections of goods and taking appropriate action where required
Ensuring goods are correctly wrapped and prepared for dispatch in line with company procedures
Leading, coaching and supporting team members to maximise individual and team performance
Supporting the management of Health & Safety across the distribution centre
Monitoring workloads and ensuring manual handling and health and safety procedures are followed
Supervising and assisting with the safe movement and handling of furniture and carpets within the warehouse
Supporting general housekeeping across the distribution centre and vehicles
Ensuring warehouse and vehicle standards are maintained
Undertaking manual handling and heavy lifting as requiredAbout You
We're looking for a confident and motivated warehouse professional who enjoys working with people and is comfortable taking responsibility within a busy operational environment.
To be successful, you'll have:
Previous experience leading, supporting or coaching a team within a warehouse environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to motivate and develop colleagues
A positive and proactive approach to problem solving
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
A strong understanding of workplace health and safety
