You'll work with businesses of varying sizes across multiple sectors, including sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and charities. The position offers a good balance of accounts preparation, tax compliance and client interaction, making it an ideal role for someone looking to build their technical expertise while developing strong client facing skills.
You’ll have the chance to get involved in advisory projects covering areas such as budgeting, forecasting, business planning and tax planning.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare statutory accounts from client records through to Partner review.
* Produce management accounts for a varied client portfolio.
* Prepare and review corporation tax returns and CT600s.
* Complete VAT returns accurately and within deadlines.
* Prepare and review personal tax computations and returns.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a key point of contact.
* Assist Partners with reviewing work prepared by junior colleagues.
* Contribute to advisory assignments, including business planning, forecasting, budgeting and tax planning.
* Ensure all work is completed accurately and delivered on time.
The Ideal Candidate Possess
* Currently working within an accountancy practice environment, ideally within a small or medium sized CA firm.
* Studying towards an ICAS or ACCA qualification.
* Experienced in preparing accounts for a range of clients.
* Strong understanding of accounts preparation, VAT and taxation.
* Confident communicator with strong client facing skills.
* Able to manage your own workload and meet deadlines.
