How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Repairs Planner

    Location: Tonbridge
    Contract: Temporary - 6 months
    Rate: £17.93 per hour Umbrella
    Hours: Full-time, office based

    The Role

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Repairs Planner to join a busy housing/property services team based in Tonbridge on an initial 6-month temporary contract.

    You will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling repairs and maintenance works, ensuring jobs are allocated efficiently to the appropriate operatives and completed within agreed timescales.

    Key Responsibilities

    Plan and schedule responsive repairs and maintenance works.
    Allocate jobs to operatives and contractors based on location, skills and availability.
    Manage diaries and workloads to ensure appointments are met.
    Liaise with tenants, residents, operatives and contractors to arrange and confirm appointments.
    Monitor outstanding repairs and follow up on delayed or incomplete works.
    Deal with queries and resolve scheduling issues quickly and effectively.
    Update internal systems accurately with job and appointment information.
    Prioritise urgent and emergency repairs appropriately.
    Work closely with the wider repairs and housing teams to ensure a smooth service.
    Ensure all works are scheduled in line with relevant policies, procedures and service standards.

    About You

    The ideal candidate will have:

    Previous experience working as a Repairs Planner, Repairs Scheduler, Maintenance Coordinator or similar.
    Experience within social housing, housing maintenance or property services.
    Strong organisational and time-management skills.
    Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal confidently with residents and contractors.
    Good attention to detail and the ability to manage a busy workload.
    Experience using repairs management or scheduling systems.
    The ability to prioritise competing demands and work effectively under pressure
