About the Role
Teach Now is seeking an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a forward-looking secondary school in Enfield.
You will teach General Science across KS3, alongside your specialist subject at GCSE level where appropriate. The school is looking for someone who can combine clear scientific explanation with practical investigation, helping students understand not simply scientific facts but how and why science works.
This role would suit a Biology, Chemistry or Physics specialist who is confident contributing to a collaborative science department.
Responsibilities
Deliver engaging Biology, Chemistry and Physics lessons across KS3.
Teach your science specialism to KS4 where required.
Prepare students effectively for GCSE examinations.
Plan safe and purposeful practical investigations.
Use assessment to identify misconceptions and gaps in knowledge.
Differentiate learning for students with varied abilities and needs.
Maintain high expectations for behaviour and participation.
Work closely with science technicians and departmental colleagues.
Requirements
QTS.
Relevant science degree or strong subject specialism.
Experience teaching science at secondary level.
Secure understanding of KS3 and GCSE science.
Strong practical classroom and behaviour-management skills.
Commitment to inclusive teaching and high academic expectations.
