Key Responsibilities:
As the Category Manager, you will be accountable for:
Developing a long-term category strategy for Technical Engineering Consulting Services (TECS) that aligns with business priorities and future investment plans.
Designing a structured market engagement strategy to enhance competition and promote innovation within the engineering consulting ecosystem.
Defining contracting models and commercial frameworks that support diverse engineering delivery requirements.
Collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment of category strategies with business needs.
Identifying and mitigating category risks, including talent shortages and market fluctuations.Key Skills and Experience:
To thrive in this role, candidates should possess:
Significant experience in category management, strategic sourcing, or commercial management within professional services or engineering consulting.
A solid understanding of Technical Engineering Consulting Services and the ability to quickly adapt to its dynamics.
Proven experience in developing category strategies and influencing senior stakeholders with market insights.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to leverage market data for strategic decision-making.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively engage across procurement and executive teams.
PA23 experience is essential, along with a focus on capital projects rather than operational projects.Qualifications:
