Reporting into the HR Business Partner, this is a brand-new role created as a result of continued growth, offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join an established HR team and make the role their own.

You’ll play a key role in supporting managers across the business, coaching and upskilling while also getting involved across the wider employee lifecycle. This is a hands-on role where you’ll have the opportunity to provide practical advice, build relationships with managers and contribute to the ongoing development of the HR function.Working as part of an established HR team within a large, multi-site manufacturing business, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing practical and commercially focused HR advice and guidance to managers across a range of people matters.
- Managing a varied Employee Relations caseload, including absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance matters.
- Supporting managers through investigations, formal meetings and hearings.
- Advising on absence management, including Occupational Health referrals and return-to-work plans.
- Ensuring HR advice and processes are consistent and in line with company policy and UK employment legislation.
- Using HR data and trends to identify key themes and support informed decision-making.
- Supporting HR projects, process improvements and the ongoing development of policies and procedures.
- Building strong working relationships with managers and helping to develop their confidence and capability when dealing with people issues.
We’re looking for someone with solid HR generalist experience and a strong background in Employee Relations, who is comfortable managing a busy caseload in a fast-paced environment.
You’ll ideally be CIPD qualified or working towards your qualification, with a good understanding of UK employment legislation and a practical, commercial approach to HR. A full UK driving licence is also required.
