Days: 8am – 4:3pm Monday to Thursday, 8am – 2pm Friday £16.62 per hour
Or
Nights: 10pm – 7am Monday to Thursday £23.27 per hour
Rapid Recruit are currently looking for experienced CNC Machinist’s to join our client’s team in Nelson. The successful candidate will support the business as a programmer, setter and operator of CNC Lathes working to manageable deadlines and producing a quality product in line with company quality policy and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set and operate CNC Lathes using engineering drawings and existing programmes.
* Write and prove CNC programmes when required.
* Set up tooling and prepare machines for production.
* Carry out first-off and in-process inspections, taking responsibility for the quality of your own work.
* Deburr components where possible.
* Run and manage more than one machine when required.
* Complete relevant production paperwork and shop floor records.
* Carry out basic machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and tidy.
* Plan ahead and prepare for the next job.
* Work as part of a team and contribute to improvements within the CNC section.
* Maintain good timekeeping and be flexible to support other areas of the factory when required.
Requirements:
* Time-served and experience working with CNC Lathes.
* Experience with Mazak, Doosan and/or Citizen machinery would be beneficial.
* Good problem-solving and practical skills.
* Methodical approach to machine setting.
* Good eye for quality and attention to detail.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Self-motivated and able to manage workload effectively.
