How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Main Duties

    Duties

    To carry out routine material and product testing and assessment using standard analytical and measuring techniques.

    To document results, producing evaluation summaries and reports. To complete the administration of any special control procedures.

    To prepare necessary test certification documentation routinely required by Customers for finished products.

    To prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly statistical analyses required by Customers or otherwise in the form of a technical summary report.

    To assist in materials testing in support of development group activities.

    To assist in the compilation of Company documentation for ISO Quality system requirements.

    To assist in the monitoring of any departmental trial work in line with planned objectives.

    On Quality or Process Control issues to ensure effective communication within the FU team through meetings.

    Quality Assurance

    To carry out the required materials tests to approved international standards, ensuring that all test equipment is calibrated and maintained to recognised standards.

    Ensure that the correct documentation is prepared for material as necessary using appropriate IT systems where needed.

    Assist in the preparation and maintenance of Company documentation relating to the ISO Quality System. Updating procedures when required.

    Production

    Interface with the operations department to ensure that samples from products are taken for routine QA testing and approval.

    Support development activities within the area to improve products and processes.

    Total cost of quality is a real business profit opportunity and by improving process control and quality reliability the jobholder can influence profitability and product cost by ensuring that trends are reported, and testing conducted as efficiently as possible.

    Facilitating continuous improvement of main drivers of product quality will be a priority.

    Will be assisting with QA audits.

    Will take active involvement in the final inspection decision-making and assistance to other QA Technicians, the QA Manager, and the Technical Manager.

    Statistical analysis of all test and production data to ensure that product capabilities can be measured and reported.

    IT

    Liaise with the IT department to ensure that testing and production data can be accessed easily and reported in a user-friendly format.
