How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Key Responsibilities:

    As a Quality Assurance Engineer, your role will focus on ensuring operational excellence. Here's how you'll make a difference:

    Support Operational Processes: Help develop and maintain Quality Systems and Procedures in line with our client's high standards.
    Drive a No-Fault Culture: Facilitate problem-solving initiatives to prevent day-to-day quality issues.
    Data-Driven Insights: Analyse quality performance data to support management decisions.
    Customer Complaint Management: Provide effective containment and preventative actions in response to customer complaints.

    What We're Looking For:

    Essential Qualifications:

    ISO9001 Audit qualification.
    Experience in manufacturing practises, including Welding/Fabrication, CNC Machining, Assembly, Finishing Processes, and Pressing.
    Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
    Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (Access and Project knowledge is a plus).
    Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015).
    Proven problem-solving skills using methods such as 5 Why, Ishikawa, and 8D.

    Desirable Qualifications:

    Familiarity with D.F.M.E.A. and P.F.M.E.A.
    PCN Visual Weld Qualification level 2 or CSWIP 3.2.
    Knowledge of PPAP/APQP tools and methods.
    Understanding of LEAN principles and Six Sigma D.M.A.I.C.
    HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a similar engineering discipline.

    Strong communication skills, with the ability to present data and conclusions effectively at all levels.
    A positive, can-do attitude towards problem-solving and improving business performance.
    Team player who promotes a collaborative work environment.
    Leadership qualities to drive improvements within the team.

    Working Hours & Salary:

    Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 16:30, Friday: 07:30 - 13:30).
    Salary: Competitive salary based on experience.
